Here is a wine that embodies the risorgimento of the Soave appelation. It’s crisp and mineral, as one would expect from Garganega planted in volcanic soils, and yet it has old vines body and mid-palate weight, presumably from its six months on the lees. Stone fruits and citrus dominate. This is a perfect aperitivo wine, for snacking on cheese or charcuterie before the meal. At under $25, it shows great value; it definitely has a place in the wine box.
