Let this Viognier open up and air out by pouring a glass 15 or 20 minutes before consuming. Or just get into it and percieve how the fruit and florals become less shy as exposure to oxygen loosens it up. When it does, look for a racy, peach driven white with a touch of white flower.
No, this is not Condrieu, but it’s also less than 10% of the price of some of Condrieu’s bigger labels, so it will do just fine. I see it as a beginning of the evening wine, to be served with salty snacks.
